Continuing a jam packed June, my busiest month of 2023, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the incredible wedding of James and Sophie at the ever epic Elmley Nature Reserve on the Isle of Sheppey. Just half an hour from the M25, Elmley leaves you feeling a thousand miles from anywhere. Epic vistas for miles, the best bridal accommodation I have seen (designs and colour schemes that’d fit nicely in the Farrow and Ball brochure).

It’s been a short while since visiting this absolute Goliath of a wedding venue. The Great Lodge at Great Bardfield is right up there at the top of my all time fave venues list, it is a wedding photographers paradise, pics below for proof :) Richard and Kara’s whole approach in the build up, and throughout the day itself was to kick back and enjoy.

A very wonderful day was spent at the MEGA Salomons Estate this month, where Beth married George in completely restriction free surroundings woohoo!! My 1st visit back to Salomons Estate since mid 2019 (not that surprising given the recent circumstances haha).

Oh man am I buzzing to share this one. Very recently indeed I got to revisit the incredibly awesome Thames Rowing Club at Putney Bridge for the wedding of Ben and Steph. I have on many occasions claimed that the TRC was my absolute favourite venue in London….guess what…..I was NOT LYING lol!!

There is undoubtedly something completely awesome about Autumn weddings, I absolutely love them. I think there are many things actually, softer lighting, desaturated colours, the whole vibe of the day seems relaxed although the evening parties are always completely banging……getting darker earlier prompts everyone onto the dance floor.

So here we go…..getting some blog posts together for some of the very amazing weddings I was lucky enough to be a part of in 2022 has definitely taken a bit of time, but I’m very hopeful that it was worth the wait for you all. I shot just shy of 50 very happy days in 2022, more than I have ever shot in a single year, exhausting? It was! Completely awesome? Yes, yes, yes!

Another wonderful day spent at my out of office, office, haha. Troy and Sophie invited me along to capture their day whilst we all ate burgers and chicken kebabs and were forbidden to leave the house by Mr Bo Jo………not mentioning the C word again!!

Anybody that follows me on Instagram will already know that I have been absolutely buzzing about this wedding. Wiltons Music Hall, as a wedding venue, is quite simply the most incredible place I have ever seen. An eighteenth century music hall that looks completely untouched. Just on the outskirts of Whitechapel, an area of London that I oddly have a strange interest in lol!

I always consider myself hugely lucky that I get to meet so many awesome couples along my travels, couples that bring me into their lives for a short period of time and have such a lasting positive affect on me. This can not be truer than when I think of Tom and Alex’s Sprivers Mansion wedding. Sprivers is, and always has been, an exceptional venue that I can ramble on about for paragraph after paragraph, but Tom and Alex were the overwhelming greatness of this day.

So….Joe and Jess got married at the Ferry House in Kent, in June, in the sun, in front of the coolest collection of wedding guests around, and it was totally wicked!!! Tuxedos and Vans, smoke bombs and live music, champagne all day long and a whole load of tears…..mostly from Joe! Nothing wrong with showing some emotion fellas!
